The Cape Classic 380 Racing Segments can be found at allocated sections on each day. The start and end points are marked by Cape Classic 380 banners. These segments are optional and are not compulsory to participate in.
JERSEY AND TROPHY DESCRIPTIONS
Climbers Jersey (KOM | QOM)
The first 5 male and female riders to cross the KOM | QOM finishing flags are allocated points towards the KOM and QOM Climbers Leader Board and the daily leaders are presented with jerseys accordingly.
TimeTrial Prizes & Trophy
Prizes are awarded to the fastest male and female who wish to participate in the TT segment. The first 5 male and female riders are awarded points to count towards the Overall Winner Trophy. A further trophy will be awarded to anyone who beats the current time record.
Green Jersey
The first 5 male and female riders to cross the flagged sections of these segments earn points towards the Green Jersey Leader Board.
Overall Winners Trophy
This is awarded to the male and female with the most accumulated points across all Cape Classic 380 Racing Segments.

RACING SEGMENTS DAY 1: FRIDAY
SEGMENT 1: BURGERS PASS KOM | QOM
The 7km section starts at 25km, at the foot of Burger’s Pass. The average gradient is 6%, and the max is 12%.
SEGMENT 2: THE KOO KAROO TIME TRIAL
The Time Trial starts at 32km, after a roll down from the top of Burger’s Pass. Those wanting to participate are stopped for a standing start, and riders are set off at 30-second intervals. The section is 7.54km and ends at 39km.

Should anyone break the TT records, they will be presented with the TT Trophy.
SEGMENT 3: ROOIHOOGTE PASS KOM | QOM
The 8km climb starts at 40km. The average gradient is 5% and the max is 10%.
DAY 1 JERSEY PRESENTATION
The Day 1 Overnight Climbers Jerseys will be presented at lunch.
RACING SEGMENTS DAY 2: SATURDAY
SEGMENT 4: R60 ROLLERS GREEN JERSEY
The 13km segment starts at 36km and ends at The Cheese Shop. The ladies will start behind the men. No men will be allowed to draft ladies.
SEGMENT 5: TRADOUW PASS KOM | QOM
The 5km climb starts at the foot of Tradouw Pass and ends at the water point.
DAY 2 JERSEY PRESENTATION
The accumulated points from Day 1 and Day 2 will be calculated, and the Overall Climbers Jerseys, Overnight Green Jerseys and Time Trial Prizes will be presented at the Saturday night Gala Dinner.
RACING SEGMENTS DAY 3: SUNDAY
HOW THE POINTS WORK
KOM/QOM SEGMENTS
First 5 male and female to get points: 10,7,5,3,1 will be allocated. If there is a tie for the Overnight Climbers Jersey, then the position on the 2nd climb decides the leader. The climb on Day 2 will decide the Overall Climber Jersey. If a winner has already received a Climbers Jersey on Day 1, they will not be presented with another Jersey.
TIME TRIAL SEGMENTS
First 5 male and female riders get points: 10,7,5,3,1 will be allocated. TT positions will count towards the Overall Winners’ Trophies. Results will be announced at Saturday’s Gala Dinner. Hazel’s timings are final, and there is no right of appeal.
GREEN JERSEY SEGMENTS
Days 2 & 3 Only – First 5 male and female to get points: 10,7,5,3,1 will be allocated. The overnight Green Jersey leaders (male and female) from Day 2 will be presented at the Saturday night Gala Dinner. Overall Green Jersey winners will be announced at the final Cape Classic 380 lunch on Sunday.
OVERALL WINNERS TROPHY
This is awarded at the final presentation to the male and female rider with the most accumulated points earned over all segments (KOM/QOM, TT, Green Jersey. If there is a tie on points, as there was in 2023, the fastest TT time will determine the winner.
